Children's Equipping Center

Ministry Director: Shirley Garcia, 303-322-5733 x 18,

   E-mail: Shirley_g@churchinthecity.org

Acknowledged and esteemed as a blessing from God, the children, both in the church and in the community, are our priority because they are a priority to Him.  He said let them come to me.”

The Children’s Equipping Center provides education, recreation, and love for children ages infant to 5th grade. The majority of our ministry is focused on our Sunday’s Kid’s Church.  Kid’s Church is offered during first and second service to empower our saints to spread the gospel.  The Children’s Equipping Center ’s mission is to nurture, equip and empower children to have an intimate relationship with the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit through learning the Word, understanding the Word, praying, and living for the kingdom of God .  We provide a loving and caring environment in which to accomplish our mission and goals to allow the next generation to Live It For Him! to further His kingdom.

In addition to Kids Church , we also reach out to our community through various special events that provide opportunities for the children to serve others within the neighborhood.  Children have the opportunity to evangelize and serve God during outreach activities such as Vacation Bible School, Math and Science Camp, Family Night Out, Veteran’s Home visits, Resurrection Day in the Park, Cinco De Mayo, an alternative Halloween program, an annual Community Dinner celebration, Socks and Gloves of Love program to provide necessities to those in need during the holidays, annual school supply drive, Missions, Scribes Ministry that writes letters to our military serving oversees, and the Prison Fellowships’ Angel Tree program.  Participation with these programs allows children to serve the Lord and provide the hope of salvation to others and the next generation as they Live It For Him! as bold Christians to today’s world.
